1. What made you start Skyline Civil Group?

I have always dreamed about owning my own business and so far I am enjoying the flexibility.  Best of all I get to structure my civil engineering firm to fit my ethics and values.

  1. Where did you study Civil Engineering and what credentials do you have? Where are you licensed to work?

I have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech’s Lubbock campus (Wreck’em Tech!) and on top of my Professional Engineering License I have been a professional civil engineer since 2007.  I mostly work in Commercial Land Development. I am licensed in Texas & New Mexico, with more to come.

  1. What is your dream Civil Engineering Project?

I would love to build up large commercial campuses across the United States.  Big Box, I love you.

  1. What does the future have in store for Skyline Civil Group?

I’m an opportunity guy.  I want the opportunity to hire smart grad’s and civil engineers and expand my business.  I want to provide the opportunity to move into different markets and expand into different areas to help grow my client’s businesses.  I also constantly take on the opportunity to network with industry professionals and can work with you to find anyone you need.

  1. Which of the two animals would you say you are most like — a sheep or a wolf — and why?

Wolf. I have a competitive, strong nature and am not afraid to make my own decisions.

  1. What does family mean to you?

Everything!  It gives me stability, love, comfort, & support.

  1. Tell us about Skyline Civil Group and why clients should consider you?

We are the new age of civil engineering.  We can save you money, increase efficiency and shorten overall timeframes on land development projects.

  1. How do you define success and how do you measure it?

Solid reputation, successful developments, & overall client satisfaction.

  1. How has having a family changed how you operate?

It’s taught me how to stay motivated for the long term.  I treat my projects and tasks as if they are personally mine and my family has made me take that even more seriously.

  1. Who is your role model?

I learned a lot from my grandfather who was also a small business owner, but also look up to inventors and presidents like Isaac Newton, Ben Franklyn, George Washington, & Franklin Roosevelt.
